Quaternity

The following composition is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary during Her month of May: The advantage of having a physics degree allows me to have an understanding of dimensions. This has helped me to come up with the concept of the Holy Quaternity. The Holy Trinity may be represented with a two- dimensional triangle where each of the three persons of the Trinity lies at a corner of the triangle. The simplicity of this triangular shape represents the divine plane. In other words, it represents the one God. The second Person of the Trinity took on human form for the sake of our redemption. And by the power of the Holy Spirit, He entered our world from a woman’s womb. It is interesting to point out that if he had not entered the world from Our Lady’s Womb, He would not have shared the full human experience with us. And that woman is the Blessed Virgin Mary. The perfect daughter of the Father was fully filled with grace by the power of the Holy Spirit to prepare this living, spotless vessel to receive Jesus in Her Womb.
And that is what made Her blessed among all the women of all times. And why did the Blessed Virgin Mary have to be spotless? Because the holiness of the divine unborn child demanded that His Mother be immaculate to receive him within Her. She needed to be spotless since She became literally the New Ark of the Covenant for nine months, from the moment of the Incarnation to the day of the Nativity of the Lord. The divine being reached our corrupt nature through the means of a perfect and pure human being, that is, the Blessed Virgin Mary. Maximilian Kobe mentioned once that the union of the Blessed Virgin Mary with the Holy Spirit is so strong that both of them act as if they were one being, yet one is a Creator and the other one is a creature. The soul of Mary is so close to the Holy Spirit that it reflects the state of the Holy Spirit. That is of a gentle, peaceful “dove.” Because the Holy Spirit was not in the thunder, nor in the earthquake, nor in the storm, but in the gentle breeze. The Holy Spirit sends all his graces to us through the mediatrix of all graces, and that includes the grace of a redeemer, which literally was delivered to us from Mary’s Holy Womb. And She needed to be pure because She had to mother Jesus through all His life on Earth. The divine Child was not deprived of the love of the most Holy Woman on earth. In a similar way the Holy Trinity is represented by a two- dimensional triangle, the Holy Quaternity is represented by a three-dimensional tetrahedron. And why a tetrahedron? - Because there are four persons in a mutual relationship. And why a three-dimensional pyramid and not a two-dimensional square? Because three of them abide in the divine plane and one of them does not. In other words, the Holy Quaternity depicts the relationship the Blessed Virgin Mary has with each member of the Holy Trinity. And we project this representation from a triangular plane into a triangular volume because the Virgin Mary does not belong to the divine triangular plane. She exists outside the divine plane, yet she has a special relationship with each of the corners of the triangle that represents the Holy Trinity. She is the perfect sinless daughter of the Father, She is the perfect peaceful spouse of the Holy Spirit, and She is the perfect loving Mother of the Son. By Pedro Diaz-Rubin
